Cut it a little below a leaf. Remove the leaves that are to be planted, and dip the stem in rooting hormone (you can purchase this at WalMart), then plant in potting soil. Keep it watered, but not saturated...do not let it dry completely out. I have done this many times with different fuchsias. Good Luck!!

Reply:Don't you just love brilliant people?!? Water rooting or hormone rooting in soil work. A great trick for rooting with hormone is to place the pot in a zip top clear plastic bag. It creates a little greenhouse for the cutting. when you see new leaves form it signals root growth. Good luck!
Reply:well, as far as I know, you can use the old basic way of taking a cutting, just slice of at an angle a smallish branch just bellow where it has had a flower, stick it in a glass of water and hopefully Hey-presto!

Reply:just cut 2-3in. stem (tips are best) put in damp sand to root.
