Scanner question?

I bought a new Canon (LiDe 25) scanner. While scanning I noticed that Dark Pink (Fuchsia) color changed to light mauve (purplish) %26amp; Red slightly changes to Orange tone in the scanned picture. I tried all software setting in photoshop %26amp; canon scan gear but the color variations won't go.

My question is that, incase there is some technical problem in the scanner, I want to know exactly what it can be %26amp; is it expensive to fix ? Advise from professionals anticipated.

Thanking you all in advance.

Scanner question?
It cannot be repaired. That is the quality that you get from that particular model Canon Scanner. It is due to the lack of proper pixels in the scanned image.
Reply:Read the Canon Manual First. you may have missed something. Then:

Call Canon tech support. My Canon scanner works beautifully.
Reply:It sounds like you either have to run an alignment test or your cartridge may be old (dry) in spite of it being a new purchase. The cartridges could be made months before being packaged in the box and then sit for several more months before you purchase it. I would call Canon Customer Service and have them send you a new cartridge. They will be more than happy to do that.
Reply:Have you tried printing it? Are you sure it isn't your monitor that's the problem?
