Why do people say there's different Fuchsias?

Cause I'm going to have my sweet 15 and were my dress is getting done and the lady is going to put a different color as my other stuff.

Why do people say there's different Fuchsias?
Fuchsia is usually a dark pinky purple. Have a great birthday... just tell the lady exactly what you want, its YOUR dress for YOUR birthday after all.
Reply:Never knew there was
Reply:I thought you had a "sweet 16" as a 16-year-old teen; do you mean quincinera?
Reply:there's fuchsia, heliotrope, dark pink, magenta, orchid, red-violet, carnation pink.... just bring a fabric swatch so she knows
Reply:Fuchsia is a strong, vivid purplish red.

Any similar color is not fuchsia. If fuchsia is what you want, don't accept anything else. I don't understand how it can be different yet the same.
