Want to paint my sectional bedroom, please help with color!?

Hey everyone...I would like your opinion on what colors I should paint my bedroom. Ok, so it's basically in sections...I have a narrow sectioned off area with a window, then I have the main part of the room (lots of windows), then finally a wider sectioned off area with my bed and closet (with a big window as well). I have this dark fuchsia for the narrow sectioned off area (I wanted to go bold somewhere) but I am reluctant to paint the whole entire room that color (without looking like i'm 13!)

What color should I paint the other walls, you think? And, should the ceiling be all one color? If so, what color? I'm thinking darker, at least for the walls, because the room has a lot of light coming in.

I am so lost!!!!!

Thank you!

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think the color "lime granita" (# 6715) would look terrific for the wall color, and then paint the whole ceiling "enchant" (# 6555). I think those colors + the fuschia will look really funky %26amp; cool.
Reply:1] first get your bedding, and drapes if you want them to match.

2] then pick the wall colors, from the bed cover [ spread or comforter ].

3] do the ceiling all same color - off white, cream, white.[ flat finish ]

4] do all trim same color also [ white, cream, etc. unless natural wood finish].

5] could use a dif color for each room section [ say pink, yellow, blue from bed cover ], or dif shades of same color [ powder pink, fuschia, cherry red ].

6] try to stick to three main colors - so room looks pulled together, pretty, and is still restful [ so you can sleep! ]
Reply:your bedroom should be tranquil and calm and bright fresh and airy?so as you can relax doing homework or music or getting ready going out white/cream and this is your canvas bringing in your accent colours curtains cushions gold or silver a matching throw all sizes of cushions and your mirrors and favourite photos on the walls candles and potpurrehttp://www.jdesigngroup.com/interior-des... as you see they are all white giving the space hope this helps you have fun
