I've been dyeing my own hair for years, but I'm stumped on this one. I have chin-length naturally dark brown hair that I bleached and dyed fuchsia two months ago. It is now faded to blonde with pale pink tinges, and I don't like it.
I want to dye my hair a light to medium brown, but with stripes of blue and green and purple as highlights throughout. I was planning to dye in the highlights first and let them wait for the specified time, then dye over with the conventional color without rinsing the highlights. This has worked well for me before with getting multiple shades of artificial colors, but I've never tried it with a conventional dye in the mix.
Does anyone have any tips or experience with this, or knowledge of why this would or would not work? Thanks!
Will dyeing with conventional color and manic panic at the same time work?
honestly, for something like that and for it to look really good , you definantly need to go to a professional salon and have it done. otherwise no i dont think it will turn out. the brown will still get on the bright colors and distort them.

There is only one flower%26gt; And that's Orchids. They come in hundreds of shapes and colors.They respond to love and affection. As long as you don't over water them. They live for years and years.

Getting over all the purple flowered silver dollar plant splashy show.
Magnolia plant is wonderful. Rain is now killing the petals.
1 yellow tulip survived all these 10 years ago, I planted them.
Look better if I known it was coming back to add in a few other yellow ones with red or purple tulips.
The forget me nots are a darker near purple color this year. Were bright blues years past. Hmmmmm.

Help with dress for 13 year old sister-in-law to be?
Because we both have LARGE families, we are having my fiance's youngest sister (age 13) and his cousin (age 12) be candlelighters. His cousin wears a size 12 in girls while his sister wears a 3 or 5 in juniors. I have found a great dress for his cousin

but am struggling to find an age appropriate dress for his sister. No strapless and not too low cut. I would like for the girls to coordinate. My colors are black and white and fuchsia. My bridesmaids are wearing black strapless dresses with white polka dots. Any help would be fantastic :)

I'm not sure about this cake topper...?
My fiance and I are having a beach themed wedding (we got engaged on Martha's Vineyard on the beach). The cake is going to be three tiered with chocolate and white chocolate seashells and coral and seahorses on them in our wedding color, which is fuchsia. My fiance and I have talked about doing a cake topper with the Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and Prince Eric on it...but not the one in their wedding gear, one of Prince Eric carrying areil while she is a mermaid.
Background. 1) The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie and all my childhood, into High School, I collected Disney movies 2) My fiance knows I love the Little Mermaid, we we are super dorky when we go to the ocean and we "play" the Little Mermaid, where he throws me into an on-coming wave to jump through it (so silly, i know, but its fun! :)
I hestitate because some people may not make the connection as to why that is our topper, esp. since I don't have red hair. What do you think?

We had two penguins dressed as a bride and groom for our cake topper. The reason behind it is that I am originally from South Africa and we have penguins on our beaches there. When we first started dating and I told my husband that we have penguins he didn't believe me because there was no ice. It became a huge joke with us and therefore we decided to have penguins. We had the DJ explain this while we were cutting the cake so all of our guests could share in the joke.
You can decide if you want to share the story behind Ariel and Eric or just keep it between the 2 of you.

I'm doing this sexy car washing play for school work (video recording) this while wearing sexy heels but also lots of water from a hose will be around. I need to buy them thru eBay (max $30). I was wondering what type of heels will withstand all the video process without tearing apart. Pumps will not do, I was thinking of plastic platform heels like these, do you think they will resist? Or what would you buy? And if they resist and dry out I may wear later for normal ocassion.

Reply:Option 1 is cute and it's made of PU (natural/synthetic waterproof material). It's similar to what gym/athletic clothing is made of. You can also spray on waterproofing to it and it'll hold up even more against water.
Option 2 might not be a good choice because it the clear strap can easily cut into your foot. By adding water, you're foot might stick to the plastic and that can be uncomfortable.

DIY fan programs for outdoor wedding in Summer - tacky?
I've already went way over budget on my wedding and I forgot about the programs so I'm going to have to get into DIY mode. It is an outdoor wedding in SoCal and will be in July so it's going to be very hot! I thought the "fan" type programs would be a great thing to do but I'm hearing that a lot of people find these tacky.
My theme is bombay orchids (which are fuchsia) with lots of greenery and certain orange flowers as accents. Very breezy type wedding and will be at a restaurant on the Lake. I was thinking of using white cardstock with a faint orchid image in the background and then the "popsicle" type stick with a sage green ribbon tied around the handle. What do you think? Any other suggestions?

Not at all! My cousin used the "fan" idea at their wedding year before last b/c their wedding was in a park. Neat idea....add ribbons for a touch of class. Make sure to take your time and make them neat. Wish I could send a pic of hers...they're so cute...And I kept it too!

I am a bride, getting married August 1st. I fell in love with the dark pink fuchsia-like colored Bougainvillea. If anyone could shed light on where I could find them in Michigan. okay, so the pufferfish you have to get at noon (when the clock hand points directly down - basically six o'clock on a regular clock) at the beach you washed up on, by the crate. spearfish. you can't miss it. the rest of the bugs i think you just have to hunt for bugs somewhere but squish ALL of the bugs on the screen b4 those ones come out.

Okay, I normally agree with all of the worst dressed lists. On line, US Magazine has voted a dress that Brooke Hogan was wearing as one of the worst of 2007. Am I the only one that LOVES the dress and thinks she looks amazing in it? I'd kill to have her figure and look like that in that dress! Odd dream that's been bugging me...?
A few nights ago, I had a dream where I was walking around in a dark, foggy cave, with a bunch of other people. Everyone, including I, was wearing white robes, with odd, curtain-ish fuchsia sleeves. I knew, in my dream, that everyone around me was mormon, my family's religion.
For some reason or another, I ripped off the sleeves, and the white robes turned into an beautiful sleeveless white dress, with silver sparkles on the edges.
Everyone in the cave turned away from me, and ignored my presence.
I spoke, particularly to a man with short grey and white hair in front of me, who was their leader. I was speaking in a loud, booming voice, much unlike my own.
I said "You dareth ignore me? Turn away, ashamed? If your 'God' is real, then he would be saddened by what you doeth."
And then I awoke.
It was very weird, and I'm not sure what it means, but for some reason it stuck in my head, and I can recall specific details easily.
What do you think it means?
Odd dream that's been bugging me...?
You are challenging your beliefs and your religion. You have come to realize that maybe the Mormon faith is not right for you. However, instead of turning to evil, you truly believe in God and your put your faith and trust in him.
I would have to say that you may soon be finding yourself breaking away from your family's faith and following a different Christian faith. The reason they all turned from you was their way of rejecting your decision in reality. But you tried to save them by challenging their faith and beliefs. You were trying to convince the others to join your faith and beliefs.
By the way, I have some family members who are Mormon. Even though I may not agree with all their beliefs, I still respect them and their faith as they respect me and my faith as well. I was raised Lutheran but turned more toward just being spiritual but not religious. Meaning I believe in God, Jesus Christ, and that there is a heaven and a hell. But I don't follow any one faith's sacraments and beliefs.

For some reason or another, I ripped off the sleeves, and the white robes turned into an beautiful sleeveless white dress, with silver sparkles on the edges.
Everyone in the cave turned away from me, and ignored my presence.
I spoke, particularly to a man with short grey and white hair in front of me, who was their leader. I was speaking in a loud, booming voice, much unlike my own.
I said "You dareth ignore me? Turn away, ashamed? If your 'God' is real, then he would be saddened by what you doeth."
And then I awoke.
It was very weird, and I'm not sure what it means, but for some reason it stuck in my head, and I can recall specific details easily.

What kind of look can i get with this makeup? (makeup artists/ MAC counter people, this is for you)?
i have nine MAC pigments (dark purple, light purple, dark blue, copper, yellow, champagne, white, fuchsia, %26amp; a VERY light pink) , revlon sugar sugar lip topping in a pink color, dark brown liquid eyeliner, liquid foundation, black pencil eyeliner, four victorias secret beauty rush eyeshadows in baby pink, light green, light blue, and a purpleish color ,
a teal pencil eyeliner, a light purple pencil eyeliner, light pink shimmerey revlon lipgloss, sparkley pink lipglosses, covergirl pink shimmery lipgloss, clear lipgloss, and more lipglosses of that sort, oh and a black revlon mascara thats one side is a white primer and the other side is black mascara.

since it is summer i don't really think the liquid foundation would be a good idea for you because the heat tends to make it melt. try a tinted moisturizer. they're light and usually have spf in them. as far as color...i would go for the copper pigment on the eyes, black or brown mascara, and a light pink to clear lipgloss (no sparkles if your eye shade already has it...but totally up to your preference). also if you want, investing in a good powder bronzer for your face is a plus for the season. just highlight the areas the sun will hit (forehead, cheekbones and bridge of the nose). it's a good summery look...hope this helps!

You'll need the HM Surf, which is deep within the Safari Zone. That will teach any water pokemon (and some others) Surf, which will let you traverse water and is a strong water-type attack in battle. But how did the United States get to associating blue states/counties with liberals/Democrats, and red states/counties with conservatives/Republicans? Do other nations describe their politics similarly?

The second one, the tea length strapless dress. It's simple, elegant, and versatile. And the rhinestone belt gives it a hint of shine and glitz that makes it stand out as a classy dress. It's also a great style that will look good on most women.
The first one is a little short and basic. It looks like it would work better for a cocktail party.
The third one is just too much for a semi-formal wedding. Besides the gown length, the detailing on the skirt is a bit heavy for a maids dress. It looks like it might distract from your gown and look.
And the last one looks a little homecoming or prom, i.e. a little too youthful and not mature enough. Even if the maids are all under 25, you want them to look like they are adults in the wedding.

My favorite is number 2 and number 3. It really depends on how formal your wedding is and what your dress looks like. For a day time wedding, number 2 would be perfect. It would be great fora not so formal evening wedding. Number 3 would be better if you were having a more formal wedding and if you bustles on your wedding dress.

I don't think it is very good for two things: one) that time of the year it is going to be too cold, 2) it is too formal, a sitdown meal is really formal. But that is just my opinion. If you really like those dresses then I say number 2 because it is really pretty. I don't like the first because it is too plain, the third will take away from you (it looks more like a bride dress for destination weddings) and the fourth reall only suits certain girls.

This is my favorite by far, there isn't too much contrast, and it's beautiful. they should compliment a bride quite nicely, and the style is something they won't mind being photographed in. That's important too, the memories of a wedding. It's very classy, and I think you should go with that.

My favorite is number 2 and number 3. It really depends on how formal your wedding is and what your dress looks like. For a day time wedding, number 2 would be perfect. It would be great fora not so formal evening wedding. Number 3 would be better if you were having a more formal wedding and if you bustles on your wedding dress.

Reply:Honestly, I really like the second one until I re-read your description again. I don't think it is very good for two things: one) that time of the year it is going to be too cold, 2) it is too formal, a sitdown meal is really formal. But that is just my opinion. If you really like those dresses then I say number 2 because it is really pretty. I don't like the first because it is too plain, the third will take away from you (it looks more like a bride dress for destination weddings) and the fourth reall only suits certain girls.

This is my favorite by far, there isn't too much contrast, and it's beautiful. they should compliment a bride quite nicely, and the style is something they won't mind being photographed in. That's important too, the memories of a wedding. It's very classy, and I think you should go with that.

Once you lay out the swatches, you can decide what looks best in different lighting throughout the day and evening. Then, go buy it!
I personally think that all of your colors would do well against any wall color. You might just have to decide what you like, what your personality is like, and what mood you want to acheive while spending time in there. Just remember that a room is a reflection of who you are or what you are about!

Bra straps showing or covered up?
It is that time of year again for small strappy tops. The trouble is what do you do about your bra straps? My daughter thinks it looks tacky, but I think as long as my bra matches my top it is OK if the straps show occasionally. I am not saying all the time, I am not talking dirty white bras, but nice coloured bras. Is there anything wrong with showing a nice fuchsia strap under a matching top? I don't like clear straps I think they look tacky.

The heavens are bleeding with bold pales of fuchsia, crimson, blinding orange and violent yellows. It streams across the atmosphere beyond the horizons and into an Eden.
The Earth is covered in mounds of clover, towers of orchids, gothic roses and cities of juniper and lily. Their roots dig deep down towards the Inferno and grace the stars of the universe forever looking down upon an Eden.
The bittersweet tartness of the apples tell different tales of flavored dreams, the passionate fruit and nectar of the guava are lush with rich hues of life and death, the fuzz of the imperfect peach and the drops of blood cherries are nothing compared to the forbidden fruits that lay beyond. Lips are sweetened and tongues are quenched with the fruits this toxic Eden bears.

I actually got goose bumps from this poem. I feel the passion used to describe the adjectives to paint the full picture. As a writer, you have a very beautiful style and you allow the words to flow naturally and vividly, Until they become more than just words. Eden
The heavens are bleeding with bold pales of fuchsia, crimson, blinding orange and violent yellows. It streams across the atmosphere beyond the horizons and into an Eden.
The Earth is covered in mounds of clover, towers of orchids, gothic roses and cities of juniper and lily. Their roots dig deep down towards the Inferno and grace the stars of the universe forever looking down upon an Eden.
The bittersweet tartness of the apples tell different tales of flavored dreams, the passionate fruit and nectar of the guava are lush with rich hues of life and death, the fuzz of the imperfect peach and the drops of blood cherries are nothing compared to the forbidden fruits that lay beyond. Lips are sweetened and tongues are quenched with the fruits this toxic Eden bears.

I actually got goose bumps from this poem. I feel the passion used to describe the adjectives to paint the full picture. As a writer, you have a very beautiful style and you allow the words to flow naturally and vividly, Until they become more than just words. I like how you create frames using the sense of smell and taste to bring things in comparison to life itself. I think is brilliant
Reply:I am neither a poet nor a critic and I had to look up Ghazal poetry...
I found the imagery beautiful and the theme seems consistent with traditional ghazal poetry. The form/pattern, however, does not; unless it is a translation to English.
I would call it a beautiful ghazal-inspired poem;again, unless it's an English translation.
Reply:Oohh that is a very nice poem and well constructed. It's also very metaphorical (I hope that's a real word). That is also the downside, the metaphors make it a very beautiful poem but some people may not understand it without your explanation. But it's a very beautiful and precise poem.

Reply:Very good detail. You have a nice way of writing that actually causes the images to explode onto my mind's eye. I can almost smell flowers and taste the ambrosia.

Reply:Wow, great poem. It was very descriptive and constructive. It paints pictures in your head and to imagine all that is a wonderful sight in my head. But it was kind of confusing at first but after a while you get what its saying. I know alot of ppl could write a better poem about this but you still did very great. You sound like a natural, true poet and i hope to read more of your poems if they are as great as this one =) Im not a fan of poems put i still live and write poems and yours was kind of inspiring

I would go with the third one, very sexy, in those colors too, pink and white. for a bra i would go with the same colors. Nice choices though, very nice.

Manic Panic, hands down. I've only tried the blue actually, but if the pinks are anything like what I used then you'll definitely get great color payoff.
This stuff is definitely the holy grail of crazy hair dyes. It's even used on the runway, believe it or not. Apparently even anorexic models like fun hair???

i am dyeing my hair partly fuchsia and was wondering what part of it should i dye? my hair is about chin length :)

i actually dyed my hair fuchsia a month ago, so i have some experience. i dyed mine on the bottom layer, and a few streaks on the top, but i found it too much. here are some suggestions:
-try dyeing the bottom layer of your hair (thin). it would look super cute especially if you pull your hair in a pony tail.
OR
-dye the tips of your hair, all the way around
Whatever you choose, make sure you will love it b/c when i was tired of mine they had to BLEACH my hair just to get it out!

Or underneath, you could die it IF you have thick hair. Otherwise, that MAY look weird.
Or, you could do the tips. That would look kind of cool.-like, one or two inches from the tip up.
Reply:try side parting your hair and on the section that you brought closer to the front, dye one strip fushcia. trust me, it will look really cool. pictures and hair type would also help people answer the question so i would advice that.
